Duane Eddy was a Pioneering American Rock Guitarist from Corning, New York. Famed for his signature "Twangy" Bass-String Guitar Sound, he scored over 30 global hits like "Rebel-Rouser" (1958), "Peter Gunn" (1960). He had sold 12 million records by 1963. His guitar style influenced The Ventures, The Shadows, The Beatles (particularly lead guitarist George Harrison), Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle and Marty Stuart. He was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2008.
