Mephiskaphels are an American Ska band based in New York City, formed in 1990 by Brendan Tween (Vocals, Guitar Ex The Shaved Pigs), and his roommate Mikal Reich (Guitar), decided to start a Ska Band, and recruiting several friends, including Brian Martin (Keyboards), under the name Skatterbrains, later changed to Mephiskpheles.
