Gryphon are an English Progressive Folk Band from London, formed in 1972 by Richard Harvey (Multi-Instrumentalists) and Brian Gulland (Multi-Instrumentalists) graduated from The Royal Ccollege Of Music.  they paired up to combine early Classical periods with British Folk, along with Graeme Taylor (Guitars,Vocals), and David Oberle (Drums, Percussion, Lead Vocals).  They are known for their Medieval and Renaissance Style of Music and Progressive Rock.  their sound was famously described by their publicist as "Henry VIII in a Rock 'N' Roll Band".
