Corrosion Of Conformity is an American Heavy Metal Band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982 by Woody Wealtherman (Lead Guitar), Mike Dean (Bass), Reed Mullin (Drums) and Benji Shelton (Lead Vocals).  They were influenced by Heavy Metal Bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Scorpions and Judas Priest.  They started as a Hardcore Punk Band but later moved towards a slower and Blues-Tinged Heavy Metal Sound and they found success with the fourth studio album, Deliverance, on Billboard 200 Charts in 1994.
