The Hillmen were a Southern Californian Bluegrass Group, formed in 1962, the original line-up of the Golden State Boys consisted of Vern Gosdin (Guitar, Lead Vocals), his brother Rex Gosdin (Double Bass), Don Parmley (Banjo), and Hal Poindexter (Guitar), but he left the grp[ in late 1962, however, and was replaced by 17-Year-Old Mandolin prodigy Chris Hillman, who had previously been a member of the high-profile San Diego Bluegrass Group The Scottsville Squirrel Barkers, was invited to join the Golden State Boys by Parmley, the group friely changed their name to The Blue Diamond Boys before finally setting on The Hillmen.  In 1964 Disbanded, Chris Hillman joined The Byrds, Vern Gosdin became a renowed Country Singer, and Rex Gosdin became a Songwriter, and Don Parmeley joined The Bluegrass Cardinals.

Punch Brothers is an American Bluegrass Band from Brooklyn, New York, formed the band in 2006 in name "The How To Grow A Band", and then changed to "The Tension Mountain Boys", before they officially settled on "Punch Brothers".  They are a Grammy Award-Winning American Acoustic Quintet.  In 2018 album "All Ashore" was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album at the 61st Grammy Awards on February 10, 2019.
