Randy Brecker is an American Trumpet, Flugelhornist, and Composer. He has made him a popular studio musician who has record with acts in Jazz, Rock and R&B. In 1967, he ventured into Jazz Rock with the band Blood, Sweet & Tears, on their first album Child Is Father To The Man, but left to join the Horace Silver Quintet, later joined with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers before teaming up with brother Michael, Barry Rogers, Billy Cobham, and John Abercrombie to form the Fusion Group Dreams, and disbanded in 1971. In 1970, he performed live with many artists including The Eleventh House Stevie Wonder and Billy Cobham, and in 1975, he and this brother Michael formed The Brecker Brothers Band, released 6 albums. and disbanded in 1982. He recorded and toured as a member of Jaco Pastorius' Word of Mouth Big Band. In 2001, he started his solo project and released albums for ESC Records.
