Helen Merrill is an American Jazz Vocalist from New York City, New York.  Her first album, 1954 recording Helen Merrill (with Clifford Brown), was immediate success and associated her with the first generation of BeBop Jazz Musicians.  She is a fine singer with a warm expressive voice.  She spent time recording and touring in Europe and Japan.  In the 1980s and '90s, she was under contract with Verve and High-Profile performance in America.
