The Flatlanders are an American Country Supergroup from Lubbock, Texas, founded in  1972 by Jimmie Dale Gilmore (Vocals, Guitar), Joe Ely (Vocals, Guitar), and Butch Hancock (Vocals, Guitar).  The band was known as The Double Mountain Fork Of The Brazos River Boys.
