Kenny Burrell is an American Jazz Guitarist, best known for his collaborations with Jimmy Smith hit album Organ Grinder Swing, in Top 20 on Billboard in 1965.  He has cited Jazz Guitarists Charlie Christian and Django Reinhardt as influences, along with Blues Musicians T-Bone Walker and Muddy Waters.  He also serves as a Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.  He has won several Jazz Polls in USA, UK and Japan and he received the 2004 Jazz Educator of the Year Award from DownBeat, and was named a 2005 NEA Jazz Master.

A Night At The Vanguard is a live album by Kenny Burrell Trio, originally released in 1959 by Argo, remastered and reissued on August 10, 2018 by Essential Jazz Classics, recorded at The Village Vanguard, New York, September 16 & 17, 1959, featuring Richard Davis and Roy Haynes.  For Complete Edition from the same sessions but not included 6 Tracks (from 9-14) on the original LP, only on CD for the first time ever!
