Motorhead are an English Rock Band from London, formed in 1975 by Lemmy (Bass, Lead Vocals Ex Hawkwind), Larry Wallis (Guitar Ex Pink Fairies), and Lucas Fox (Drums), later members had been changed to Eddie "Fast" Clarke (Guitar) to replace Larry Wallis, and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (Drums) to replace Lucas Fox. The band had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful albums such as Overkill, Bomber, Ace Of Spades and No Sleep 'till Hammersmith.  As of 2012 Motorhead have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.  The band are considered as one of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Motörhead:  40th Anniversary Edition is the compilation album by Motörhead, released on October 27, 2017 by Chiswick Records, with the additional of seven previously unissued recordings made at the Escape Studio Sessions on 28 and 29 April, 1977.
