Hiss Golden Messenger is an American Folk Music Band from Durham, North Carolina, formed in 2007 by MC Taylor and Scott Hirsch, both of them were the members of The Hardcore Punk Band The Court & Spark. The band's music contains elements from various Genres, such as Folk, Country, Country Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, Funk, Swamp Pop, Gospel, Rock, Blues. The band's debut album, Country Hai East Cotton, was released in 2009. The band's main influences include, The Beatles, The Byrds, and Buffalo Springfield.
