The Souther Hillman Furay Band was formed in 1973 as a Country-Rock Supergroup led by singers-songwriters Richie Furay (Ex Buffalo Springfield and Poco), Chris Hillman (Ex The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers and Manassas) and J.D. Souther (Ex Longbranch Pennywhistle and songwriter for Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt and The Eagles).

The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band was the debut album released in 1974 by The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band was a Country-Rock Supergroup formed upon the request of David Geffen the head of Asylum Records in1973. The first album and the single hit "Fallin' In Love" in the US Chart, and other interested tracks: "Heavenly Fire", "The Heartbreaker", " Safe At Home", "Pretty Goodbyes" and "Deep, Dark And Dreamless".
