The Swell Season is the Folk Rock Duo, formed in 2005 by Irish musician Glen Hansand (Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin), and Marketa Irglova (Vocals, Piano, Guitar). The Duo rose prominence following the success of the 2007 film Once. Their song "Falling Slowly" from the film took the Oscar for Best Song at the 80th Academy Awards. They contributed their cover of Bob Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" to the 2007 Soundtrack of I'm Not There.
