The Leaves were an American Garage Rock Band from San Fermando Valley, California, formed in 1964 by Jim Pons (Guitar, Vocals), Robert Lee Reiner (Guitar), along with John Beck (Vocals), Bill Rinehart (Lead Guitar), and Jimmy Kern (Drums).  Originally called The Rockwells.  They are best known for their version of the song "Hey Joe", which was a hit in 1966.
