The Great Kat is an American Thrash Metal Band, formed in 1986 by Katherine Thomas (Vocals, Guitar, Violin), Tom Von Doom (Bass), and Adam Killa (Drums).  Guitar One Magazine listed her as one of the "Fastest Shredders of All Time.  Her Classical background, technical skills and self-promotion are sometimes compared to Yngwie Malmsteen.
