The artwoods were an English Rock Band from London, formed in 1963 and were professionally active between 1964 and 1967, by Art Wood (Lead Vocals), the older brother of Ron Wood (The Birds, The Faces, The Rolling Stones), Jon Lord (Organ, later to Deep Purple), Keef Hartley (Drums, later formed Keef Hartley Band), Derek Griffiths (Guitar), and Malcolm Pool (Bass).   The Artwoods were every bit the rivals of such bands as The Animals, The Yardbirds and The Spencer Davis Group.
