Manowar is an American Heavy Metal Band from Auburn, New York, formed in 1980 by Joey DeMaio (Bass, Keyboards, Guitar), Ross "The Boss" Friedman (Guitar, Keyboards Ex The Dictators) Eric Adams (Vocals), and Carl Canedy (Drums).  In 1984, the band was included in the Guinness Book Of World Records for delivering the Loudest Performance, they also hold the world record for the Loudest heavy Metal Concert after playing for five hours amd 12 minute in Bulgaria in 2008.
