J.D. Souther is an American Musician, Singer and Songwriter. He has written and co-written numerous hit songs recorded by artists such as Linda Ronstadt and The Eagles. In the early day of late 1960s, he and Glenn Frey (The Eagles), formed a Folk Duo called Longbranch Pennywhistle and in 1972, persuaded by David Geffen, he teamed up with Chris Hillman (Ex The Byrds) and Richie Furay (Ex Buffalo Springfield) to form The Souther Hillman Furay Band and released two albums. On June 14, 2013, He was inducted into The Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City.
