Grand Funk Railroad is an American Hard Rock Trio Band from Flint, Michigan, formed in 1966 by Mark Farner (Lead Vocals, Guitar Ex Terry Knight And The Pack), Mel Schacher (Bass Ex Question Mark & The Mysterians) and Don Brewer (Drums Ex Terry Knight And The Pack).  The band played style Hard Rock, Blues-Rock, Boogie Rock, and Heavy Metal, same as patterned of Power Trio Band like Cream.  Grand Funk Railroad is one of the 1970s most successful Hard Rock Bands, with the hit single "I'm Your Captain (Closer To Home", from the album Closer To Home, released in 1970, and the band has many classic hit songs such as "Heartbreaker", "Inside Looking Out", "Flight Of The Phoenix", "We're An American Band", "The Loco-Motion", "Bad Time" and many more!.
