The Cryan' Shames are an American Garage Rock Band from Jinsdale, Illinois, formed in 1966 by Tom "Toad" Doody (Vocals Ex The Prowlers), Gerry Stone (Rhythm Guitar Ex The Prowlers), Dave Purple (Bass, Keyboards Ex The Prowlers), Jim Fairs (Guitar Ex The Roosters), and Dennis Conroy (Drums Ex Possum River).  Originally known as The Travelers.  The band's most successful song was their cover of The Searchers' song "Sugar & Spice".
