Queens Of The Stone Age is an American Alternative Rock Band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1996 by Josh Homme (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano Ex Kyuss, Screaming Trees), in 1998, after the recording sessions were finished for the album and touring commenced with a band consisting of Nick Oliveri (Bass Ex Kyuss), Dave Catching (Guitar, Keyboards), and Alfredo Hernandez (Drums).
