Norman Brown is an American Smooth Jazz Guitarist and Singer from Kansas City, Missouri. He was initially influenced by Jimi Hendrix and The Isley Brothers, then when he heard Wes Montgomery, he began to play Jazz. In 1992 he released his debut album, Just Between Us. Suddenly critics drew comparisons to George Benson and Wes Montgomery. In 2002, he formed BWB with Kirk Whalum (Saxophone) and Rick Braun (Trumpet). In 2003, he won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for Just Chillin'. In 2007, he had a No. 1 Smooth Jazz Radio Hit, "Let's Take A Ride", from album Stay With Me.
