MC5 was an American Rock Band from Lincoin Park, Michigan, formed in 1964 by Wayne Kramer (Guitar, Vocals), Fred "Sonic" Smith (Bass), Billy Vargo (Guitar), and Leo LeDuc (Drums). Their music loud, energetic style of back-to-basics Rock & Roll, included elements of Garage Rock, Punk, Hard Rock, Blues Rock, and Psychedelic Rock. Their debut album Kick Out The Jams was recorded in 1969 by MC5 were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2002, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
