The Crickets were an American Rock & Roll Band from Lubbock, Texas, formed in 1957 by Buddy Holly (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Niki Sullivan (Guitar), Joe B. Mauldin (Bass), and Jerry Allison (Drums). Their first hit "That'll Be The Day", released in May 1957, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 100 Chart, and their first album, The "Chirping" Crickets.
