Rick Danko was a Canadian Musician, Singer, Songwriter, and Bassist, best known as a founding member of The Band,which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. During the 1960s, he performed as a member of The Hawks, backing Ronnie Hawkins and then Bob Dylan. Then, between 1966 and 1977, he and The Hawks now called The Band.
