The White Stripes were an American Rock Duo from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1997, consisted of Jack White (Songwriter, Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Mandolin and his one-time wife Meg White (Drums, Percussion, Vocals).  After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit Music Scene as part of the Garage Rock Revival Scene.  Their last three albums each won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.  In 2015, Rolling Stone's named them the sixth Greatest Duo of all time.
