The Sir Douglas Quintet was an American Rock Band from San Antonio, formed in 1964 by Doug Sahm (Vocals, Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar, Fiddle, Jack Barber (Bass), Frank Morin (Vocals, Horns), Augie Meyers (Organ), and Johnny Perez (Drums). They started in Country Music and had played on-stage with Hank Williams, Sr., and went played Blues, Texas R&B Music, Tex-Mex. The band is known for its songs "The Rains Came" (1966), "Mendocino" (1968), "It Didn't Even Bring Me Down" (1969), and "Dynamite Woman" (1969).
