Ike Quebec was an American Jazz Tenor Saxophonist. He began his career in the big band era of the 1940s, he was one of the finest Swing-Oriented Tenor Saxman of the 1940s and '50s. He influenced by Colman Hawkins and Ben Webster. He worked with Benny Carter, Kenny Clarke, Boy Eldridge and Cab Calloway. He brought Thelonious Monk and Bud Powell to the Blue Note Label.
