Type O Negative were an American Gothic Metal Band from Brooklyn, New York City, formed in 1989 by Peter Steele (Bass, Lead Vocals Ex Carnivore), Kenny Hickey (Guitar, Vocals), Josh Silver (Keyboards), and Sal Abruscato (Drums). The initially named Repulsion, later changed to Sub-Zero, then changed again to Type O Negative.
