Richie Kotzen is an American Guitar Hero discovered by Shrapnel Records' Mike Varney, and he recorded his first solo album by the age of 19. In 1991, he joined the rock band Poison at age 21, and he replaced Paul Gilbert of the rock band Mr. Big in 1999. His main influence were Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Jason Becker and Allan Holdsworth.
