Lee Morgan was an American Hard Bop Trumpeter. His idol and influenced Clifford Brown. He played with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Dizzy Gillespie. In 1957, he performed as a sideman on John Coltrane's Classic Blue Train as well as with Jimmy Smith.
