America is a Folk Rock Trio Band formed in England in 1870 by Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek and Gerry Beckley.  The trio met as sons of U.S. Air Force personnel stationed in London, where they began performing live and achieved significant popularity in the 1970s and was famous for the trio's close harmonies and light acoustic Folk Rock sound.  The band has several hits included "A Horse With No Name", "I Need You", "Ventura Highway", "Tin Man", "Lonely People", "Sister Golden Hair", and more!.  They won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist at the15th Annual Grammy Awards.  The band has been induced into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame and received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
