Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is an American Country-Folk-Rock Band from Long Beach, California, formed in 1966 by Jeff Hanna (Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals), Jimmie Fadden (Guitar, Harmonica, Vocals), Bruce Kundel (Guitar, Vocals), Ralph Barr (Guitar, Vocals), and Jackson Browne (Guitar, Vocals).  The band's successes include a cover version of Jerry Walker's "Mr. Bojangles" and their album in 1972's Will The Circle Be Unbroken and in 1989, follow up album base on the same concept, Will The Circle Unbroken:  Volume Two, was certified Gold, won two Grammy Awards and was named Album of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards.
