Derek Sherinian is an Amercan Keyboardist, best known as a member of Dream Theater from 1994 to  1999, and the founder of Planet X and also one of the founding members of Black Country Communion and Sons Of Apollo.  He has toured and recorded for Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and Joe Bonamassa.  His musical influences include Elton John, Van Halen and Jeff Beck.  He was voted No. 9 Greatest Keyboards Ever In Prog Magazine, he also declared as a "Keyboard Hero for a new generation", and has been called the "King Of The Keys" by Guitar World Magazine.
