The Turtles are an American Folk Rock Band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1965 by Howard Kaylan (Lead Vocals), and Mark Volman (Lead Vocals), and along with high school friends Al Nichol (Guitar), Jim Tucker (Guitar), Chuck Portz (Bass), and Don Murray (Drums) called The Crossfires, and their cover version of Bob Dylan "It Ain't Me Babez" in 1965, Their biggest and best known hit in 1967 with the song "Happy Together".
