The Oxford Circle was an American Garage Rock and Psychedelic Rock Band from Davis, California, near Sacramento, formed in 1964 by Gary Lee Yoder (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, later joined with Blue Cheer), Dehner Patten (Lead Guitar, later formed Kak), Jim Keylor (Bass), and Paul Whaley (Drums, later to play in pioneering Heavy Rock act Blue Cheer).  They became a popular Garage Roc act with a Proto-Punk sound influenced by Them, The Yardbirds and other Blues-based bands of the British Invasion.  In addition to Heavy Guitar feedback, came to encompass Psychedelia.
