Lee Konitz is an American Musician, Composer and Alto Saxophonist from Chicago, Illinois.  He has performed successfully in a wide range of Jazz Styles, including BeBop, Cool Jazz, Avant-Garde Jazz.  He played  with Miles Davis's Birth Of The Cool sessions and his work with Pianist Lennie Tristano, and with Charlie Parker.  His influences strongly to Paul Desmond and Art Papper.
