The Prime Movers were an American Blues Band from Ann Arbor, Michigan, formed in 1965 by Michael Erieweine (Lead Vocals, Harmonica), Dan Eriewine (Lead Guitar), Robert Sheff (Keyboards), Robert Vinopal (Bass), and Michael "Spider" Wynn (Drums), Vinopal left soon after the band's formation and was replaced by Jack Dawson, Wynn left a short time and was replaced by James Osterberg, who would later become famous as Iggy Pop.  The band regularly traveled to Chicago, where they heard Blues Icons such as Little Walter, Magic Sam, Big Walker Horton, Buddy Guy, and Junior Wells, also Paul Butterfield Band and Mike Bloomfield, but The Prime Movers to dig deeper into Blues.
