Megadeth is an American Heavy Metal Band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983 by Dave Mustaine (Guitar, Vocals), Dave Ellefson (Bass), Greg Handevidt (Guitar), and Dijon Carruthers (Drums), shortly after Dave Mustaine's dismissal from Metallica.  The band is a pioneer of the American Thrash Metal scene, and is one of the Genre's "Big Four", along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer.
