Johnny Hates Jazz are a British Pop Trio Band from London, formed in 1986 by Clark Datchler (Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar), Mike Nocito (Bass), and Calvin Hayes (Keyboards, Drums).  They launched a hit parade in the U.K. as "I Don't Want To Be A Hero", "Turn Back The Clock", "Heart Of Gold", "Don't Say It's Love", "Shattered Dreams".  The group's debut single for Virgin, "Shattered Dreams", reached No. 5 on the U.K. Charts and No. 2 in America in 1987.  The band's debut LP, Turn Back The Clock, appeared in 1988, going multi-platinum in England and in the U.S.
