Michael Romeo is an American Guitarist and a founding member of the Progressive Metal Group Symphony X, he started with Piano lessons when he was 10 years old and also played Clarinet.  However, after hearing the Kiss album, then he seriously considered switching to the Guitar.  His influenced by Kiss, Led Zeppelin Rush AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, and he was also heavily influenced by the Neo-Classical Technique and of Style of Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen and Uli Jon Roth.  He was ranked one of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time by Guitar World and in  Top 10 Favorite Guitarist in 2010.
