Woody Shaw was an American Trumpeter, Flugelhornist, Cornetist, Composer and Bandleader.  He was one of the great Jazz Band Leaders and Innovators of his generation. His influenced artists such as Louis Armstrong, Harry James, Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan and others.  He described by NPR Music as "The Last Great Trumpet Innovator.
