Stanley Clarke is an American Bassist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and founding member of Return To Forever, one of the first Jazz Fusion Bands.  He worked with Gil Evans, Mel Lewis, Horace Silver, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, and Art Blakey.  He had teaming up with Chick Corea in Return To Forever and became a Rock-Oriented Fusion Quarter.  He has composed music for films and television and has worked with musicians in many genres like Jaco Pastorius.
