Don Cherry was an American Jazz Trumpeter, one of the most influential Jazz musicians of the late 20th century. A founding member of Ornette Coleman Quartet of the late '50s. He worked with such top-ranked Jazz musicians as Sonny Rollins, Archie Shepp, Albert Ayler, John Coltrane and many more!. His music from Funk, Jazz and New Wave were mingling with sounds from Africa, Jamaica, and Latin America. He was a pioneer in World Fusion Music in the 1960s.
