Dave Matthews Band is an American Rock Band, formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA in 1991, by Dave Matthews (Vocals, Guitar), Stefan Lessard (Bass), Carter Beauford (Drums, Backing Vocals), LeRoi Moore (Saxophone) and Boyd Tinsley (Violin).  Moore died suddenly in August 2008, replaced by Jeff Coffin (Saxophone Ex Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Rashawn Ross (Trumpet, Vocals) and Tim Reynolds (Guitar) have also become full-time touring member of the band.  The band has won one Grammy Award and as of 2010 the band has approximate sales between 30 and 40 million copies worldwide.
