UMO Jazz Orchestra is a Finnish Big Band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1975.  UMO Jazz Orchestra is something like Finland's National Jazz Orchestra, was founds by musicians who played in the country's Radio Dance Orchestra, and has been toured in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. and has worked with Dexter Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie, Gil Evans, Mercer Ellington, McCoy Tyner, Maria Schneider, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, and Lenny Pickett.
