The Smithereens are an American Rock Band from Carteret, New Jersey, formed in 1980 by Pat DiNizio (Vocals, Guitar), Jim Babjak (Guitar, Vocals), Mike Mesaros (Bass, Vocals) and Dennis Diken (Drums, Percussion).  The band are best know for their hits, including "Only A Memory", "A Girl Like You" and "Too Much Passion".
