Loudness is a Japanese Heavy Metal Band from Osaka, formed in 1981 by Akira Takasaki (Guitar), and Munetaka Higuchi (Drums), along with Hiroyuki Tanaka (Bass).  They were the first Japanese Metal act signed to a major label in the United States Atco Records, reached the Top 100 Billboard Charts with album, "Thunder In East" Akira Takasaki's Eddie Van Halen-inspired Guitar Heroics, the band immediately scored local success with their first three albums.
