Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish Indie Rock Band from Glasgow, formed in 2002 by Alex Kapranos (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Bob Hardy (Bass), Nick McCarthy (Rhythm Guitar, Keyboards) and Paul Thomson (Drums).  The Band went on to win Mercury Music Prize in 2004 and two Brit Awards in 2005 for the Best British Group and Best British Rock Act, and Album of the Year from NME.
