Lissie is an American Singer and Songwriter from Rock Island, Illinois.  She create her own form of Indie Folk Music and playing her own songs at local coffee shops as a teenager.  She headed west and settled in Los Angeles, where she became a fixture on the local venue circuit and landed a national tour opening for Lenny Kravitz.  She released her debut EP "Why You Runnin'" in 2009 and toured the country alongside Ray LaMontagne.  Her debut album, Catching A Tiger, was released in June 2010 with a commercial success in the Top 5 of the US Billboard Folk Albums Chart and No. 12 on the UK Albums Chart.
